Jewish Family Service of Greater New Orleans is a social service agency dedicated to preserving, strengthening and enhancing the well-being and self-sufficiency of individuals and families at every stage of life.

Jewish Family Service is a constituent agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans and a community impact partner of United Way of Greater New Orleans.

Established nearly 60 years ago, Jewish Family Service helps people in the greater New Orleans area regardless of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Services are available on a sliding fee scale, based on income.

The Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans serves as the central coordinating body for the Jewish community. Its purpose is to build and sustain a vibrant Jewish community in the Greater New Orleans area and, in accordance with Jewish tradition, to assure the continuity of the Jewish people in America, Israel and throughout the Diaspora.

JCRS is a social work agency and charitable fund that serves Jewish children and young adults who live in seven southern states (Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Tennessee). It provides scholarships for overnight camp, college and special needs. It conducts adoptive home studies and consults on problems related to the development and needs of children. Also, provides gifts and cards to needy Jewish children during Jewish holidays. It is often the agency of last resort when it comes to providing funds needed by Jewish children.

Founded in 1913, the ADL is the oldest organization dedicated to combating Anti-Semitism and bigotry. The ADL monitors and combats individual manifestations of Anti-Semitism, especially serious crimes such as bombings, arson, and cemetery desecrations. It also monitors the activities of extremist groups, and educates the public and anti-Semitism, extremism, the Holocaust and the Arab Israel conflict. A national organization, there is a regional office in New Orleans.

The URJ Southwest Council, with its offices located in Dallas, Texas, serves 73 Reform synagogues in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and Western Tennessee. The Council provides the direct link from the URJ to congregations by providing technical expertise, resources and personal counseling on the numerous issues that congregations may require in the management of their synagogues. The regional office also coordinates the activities of the regional council, the regional committees and the Regional Biennial.

The Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life (ISJL) is a private, not-for-profit corporation. It is dedicated to providing educational and rabbinic services to isolated Jewish communities, documenting and preserving the rich history of the Southern Jewish experience, and promoting a Jewish cultural presence throughout a thirteen state region.
