International Work

While there is much to be done here in Baton Rouge, the needs of Jews around the world, most especially in Israel, the former Soviet Union, and Ethiopia, remains great. The Federation has maintained its level of funding to Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) and other partner organizations in providing aid to Jews throughout the world.

 
 

 

Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA)

Jewish National Fund is a non-profit organization found in 1901. It started as a dream. Over the past 113 years, Jewish National Fund (JNF) has evolved into a global environmental leader by planting more than 250 million trees, building over 240 reservoirs and dams, developing over 250,000 acres of land, creating more than 2,000 parks, providing infrastructure for over 1,000 communities and connecting thousands of children and young adults to Israel and their heritage.  

 

 

Hadassah Hospital

Since its inception, Hadassah's pacesetting progress has set the standard for medicine in Israel and the standard of excellence. An impressive list of achievements is testimony to Hadassah's vision and mission. Today, Hadassah Medical Organization continues to move forward, making the world a better place through healing, teaching, and research. 

Hadassah's extensive network of satellite services provides community health care programs, specialized outpatient clinics ,and services in several city neighborhoods and nearby towns, as well as consultation clinics in the center of Jerusalem and in Tel Aviv.
